Ms Teresa Ko is China Managing Partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and a member of the Practice
Committee of the firm.
Ms Ko is particularly well-known for advising on complex global offerings, in particular, listings of Chinese
state-owned as well as privately-owned enterprises including the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC),
being the world's largest IPO to date. She also works extensively on public takeovers, cross-border M&As, strategic
investments and private equity work.
Ms Ko is the Chairman of the Listing Committee of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, a Deputy Chairman and
member of the Hong Kong Panel on Takeovers and Mergers of the Securities and Futures Commission as well as
a member of the Standing Committee on Company Law Reform.
Ms Ko qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales and in Hong Kong in 1986. She also has a first class Master's
degree in Law from Jesus College, Cambridge, England.
